How to Install a Shower Cubicle?

Installing the shower cubicle is a fairly simple job, requiring two people. All installations are different, so these instructions can only be used as a general guide. Always refer to the manufacturer's instructions.

Step 1: Assemble the compartment

Assemble the cubicle according to the manufacturer's instructions.
 

Step 2: Lift the compartment to the designated position

With the help of another person, lift the assembled cubicle to the position on the pallet.
 

Step 3: Make sure the wall rail is vertical

Use a level to ensure that the wall rails of the cubicle are completely vertical and that the bottom rails of the fence are in the correct position.
 

Step 4: Mark the fixing point on the wall rail

Mark on the wall through the pre-drilled fixing points on the wall rail.
 

Step 5: Lift the cubicle out of position

With the help of others, lift the cubicle out of position and support it to prevent it from falling.
 

Step 6: Drill screw holes

Check for any pipes or cables, then drill the screw holes with a 6mm masonry drill. Make sure that all holes are drilled before using any silica gel. If you want to drill through the tiles, put some masking tape where you want to drill to prevent the tiles from cracking.
 

Step 7: Insert the wall plug

Insert the wall plugs to ensure that they are inserted just beyond the surface of the tiles to prevent the tiles from cracking when the screws enter.
 

Step 8: Seal between the cubicle and the wall

A vertical sealant shall be squeezed behind the wall rail to form a seal between the wall rail and the wall.
 

Step 9: Fix the cubicle on the wall

With help, return the cubicle to its final position and screw it to the wall.
 

Step 10: The outside of the sealed cubicle

Seal the connection between the outside of the cubicle and the wall, as well as the tray/floor, with silicone sealant. Do not seal the inside.
